How EconoPlus works

No. Browsing and membership are free — there is nothing to buy to use an offer.

Open the offer, tap Redeem and confirm. The confirmation shows the code — the offer's code, or a unique one made for you — with the Montréal time and a reference. Show that screen at the counter. One use per account per offer; a screenshot is never enough, which protects merchants and keeps offers honest.

Points are earned through verified visits and redemptions, and spent in the shop on real certificates. Your wallet shows an honest estimate of what your balance is worth in eligible rewards. Points have no cash value and can't be transferred or sold.

Every single change — earned, spent, expired, refunded, adjusted — is a line in your activity timeline in the wallet, each with its reason. Nothing edits your balance silently.

Every merchant is reviewed by the EconoPlus team before going live: business identity, address, the offer itself and how it's redeemed. Nothing an applicant types publishes itself — an application sits in our review queue until a person approves it, and every offer change afterwards is versioned.

An offer must say exactly what you get, what it costs, where it works and until when — eligibility, exclusions and minimums included. If a redemption goes wrong, report it privately from the offer page; repeated problems flag the merchant for review by our team.

The short version: your browsing and redemption history is yours. Merchants see aggregate numbers, never your identity. The full policy is on the Privacy page.

Apply at econoplus.ca/join — it takes about six minutes. Our team reviews the application within one to two business days, may ask for a detail, and your page goes live with your first offer once everything checks out.

During the launch, businesses join with the launch package: $475 CAD for three months — your offer featured on econoplus.ca, a merchant page, your own QR code and poster, and six posts across West Island Community social communities. Details on the Advertise page. Sponsored placements are always labelled as such.

Yes. Staff accounts run the counter — verifying codes and redemptions — without access to billing, campaign management or analytics. Roles are enforced on the server, not just hidden in the interface.
