EconoPlus Member Terms and Conditions

EconoPlus is operated by 9312-9856 Québec Inc., operating as EconoPlus (“EconoPlus,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the EconoPlus website and web application, your member account, free promotional offers, and purchases through the EconoPlus shop.

By accepting these terms when registering, you agree to comply with them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. Consent to promotional communications and optional advertising tracking is obtained separately from acceptance of these terms.

Membership is available to residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory.

You must provide a valid email address that you control and keep your account information accurate. You are responsible for protecting your password and promptly reporting suspected unauthorized access.

You must not impersonate another person, share your account credentials, or create multiple accounts to circumvent offer limits or other platform rules.

Base membership is free and will remain free. Participating merchants, offers, and available features may change. Membership does not guarantee any particular offer, availability, or amount of savings.

Optional paid membership tiers and voucher purchases are available where offered. Holding a free account does not authorize EconoPlus to charge you.

Before an optional purchase, we disclose its price, applicable taxes and charges, benefits, duration, and relevant conditions. Recurring payments or automatic renewals require your separate agreement to the applicable subscription terms.

Free coupons are promotional offers provided at no charge. They have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Each offer specifies its participating locations, validity period, redemption instructions, purchase requirements, exclusions, and usage limits. Review these details before ordering or purchasing.

Redeem an offer at the participating merchant or follow the instructions displayed for that offer. Where the platform requires redemption confirmation, complete it at the point of redemption as instructed. Screenshots, copied codes, or previously redeemed offers do not replace the required redemption process.

Merchants may change, pause, or withdraw free offers for future use, subject to applicable law. Saving an offer does not reserve its availability, stock, or a booking. Withdrawn offers may disappear from saved offers.

A merchant may refuse redemption when the offer’s stated conditions are not met. Because free coupons are not purchased, EconoPlus does not provide refunds or compensation merely because a free coupon is withdrawn, unavailable, or refused, except where required by law.

Requests for refunds relating to goods or services purchased directly from a merchant should be addressed to that merchant. Offer problems may also be reported to info@econoplus.ca.

EconoPlus collects payment for vouchers purchased through its shop. The merchant identified on the voucher supplies the associated goods or services.

Before purchase, the offer and checkout identify the merchant, participating locations, purchase price, voucher value, applicable restrictions, and redemption instructions. Purchase confirmation is provided after checkout.

Unless otherwise stated, amounts are in Canadian dollars.

Paid value and promotional value

Paid value means the amount paid to obtain the voucher.

Promotional value means the additional benefit above the amount paid. For example, a $25 voucher purchased for $20 includes $20 of paid value and $5 of promotional value.

Paid value does not expire.

Where permitted by applicable law, promotional value expires one year after purchase. The promotional expiry date is disclosed before purchase and shown on the voucher. After that date, any unused paid value remains available for eligible purchases at the named merchant.

Where applicable law protects a greater value or prohibits the promotional expiry, that protection prevails.

Redemption and unused balances

Vouchers are intended to be used in one visit. Where disclosed before purchase and legally permitted, unused promotional value is forfeited after redemption.

Unused paid value and any other legally protected balance are not forfeited under this rule. They remain available or refundable as required by applicable law, including any applicable right to a small-balance cash refund.

You are responsible for any purchase amount exceeding the available voucher value.

Combining vouchers, taxes, and gratuities

Multiple valid vouchers for the same participating merchant may be combined in the same transaction. There is no limit on the number of vouchers that may be combined.

Gratuities are not included and must always be paid separately.

A merchant may require applicable taxes to be paid separately where this condition is clearly disclosed before the voucher purchase and permitted by law.

Any conditions concerning combination with other promotions must be disclosed before purchase. Such conditions do not remove the right to combine multiple valid EconoPlus vouchers.

Gifting vouchers

Purchased vouchers may be given to another person using the transfer or redemption method supported by EconoPlus. The same conditions apply to the recipient.

Gifting does not restart or extend the promotional period. Do not share account credentials or transfer a voucher in a manner that permits duplicate redemption.

A merchant’s departure from EconoPlus or withdrawal of a free offer does not, by itself, cancel a valid purchased voucher.

Refund policy

Voucher purchases are non-refundable, except in the circumstances described below or where required by applicable law.

Merchant closure or refusal

If a valid, completely unused voucher cannot be honoured because the merchant has closed or refuses redemption despite the applicable conditions being met, contact info@econoplus.ca with your order details.

We will seek to resolve the issue. If it cannot be resolved, we will refund the amount paid to the original payment method, together with any associated amounts required by law. No processing or administration fees will be deducted from these refunds.

Effect of a refund

A fully refunded voucher is cancelled in full, including its promotional value. Neither the purchaser nor a recipient may redeem it afterward. Promotional value is not refunded or paid out in cash.

Applicable legal rights

Nothing in this section limits any cancellation, refund, warranty, protected-balance, or other right provided by applicable law.

Complaints involving partially used vouchers or goods or services already supplied are assessed according to the circumstances and applicable law.

We use email for necessary account and service communications, including verification, password resets, security notices, purchase confirmations, and relevant service updates.

Promotional emails about offers, participating merchants, and EconoPlus news are sent with valid consent or as otherwise permitted by law. You may unsubscribe using the link in each promotional email.

You may maintain your free account without subscribing to promotional emails. Unsubscribing does not prevent necessary non-promotional account communications.

Promotional text messages and push notifications, where available, have separate opt-in choices and withdrawal controls. Providing a telephone number for another purpose does not automatically subscribe you to promotional texts.

You must not:

• Falsify redemptions, reuse redeemed vouchers, or circumvent offer restrictions;
• Interfere with the platform, bypass security, or attempt unauthorized access;
• Collect another member’s information without authorization; or
• Copy or exploit platform content for unauthorized commercial purposes.

EconoPlus and merchant names, logos, images, and other content remain the property of their respective owners. Members may use platform content for the intended purpose of discovering and redeeming offers.

Contests and giveaways are subject to their own published rules.

EconoPlus provides the platform and the promotional and purchasing services described in these terms. Merchants are independent businesses responsible for their own products, services, staff, premises, bookings, and fulfilment of offers.

EconoPlus does not operate or supervise merchant businesses and does not guarantee satisfaction with their products or services. Complaints concerning those products or services should first be directed to the merchant.

EconoPlus remains responsible for its own obligations, including the voucher refund commitments expressly stated in these terms. To the extent permitted by law, EconoPlus is not responsible for losses caused solely by a merchant’s acts or omissions or by circumstances outside EconoPlus’s reasonable control.

Platform access may be interrupted by maintenance, technical issues, security measures, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or error-free listings.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability or limits consumer protections that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

You may request account closure by emailing info@econoplus.ca.

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect the platform, investigate suspected fraud, comply with law, or address a material breach of these terms.

Account closure or suspension does not automatically cancel a valid paid voucher or remove an eligible refund right. Contact us to arrange the handling of outstanding purchases.

Personal information associated with a closed account is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable retention requirements.

A change to EconoPlus’s platform name or brand does not, by itself, terminate these terms or require renewed acceptance.

If the business is sold, acquired, merged, reorganized, or transferred, these terms continue with the lawful successor to the extent permitted by law. The successor assumes the applicable obligations associated with transferred member accounts and outstanding purchases.

We will notify members of a change in the operator and provide updated contact information. Personal information transfers remain subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

We may update these terms to reflect changes to our services, operations, or legal requirements.

We will identify the revised terms and effective date and provide any notice, separate acceptance, or cancellation opportunity required by law. Changes will not retroactively reduce an existing purchase’s protected value or refund rights.

Accepting these terms does not authorize an optional purchase, subscription charge, or new use of personal information requiring separate consent.

These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without depriving members of mandatory protections available under the laws applicable in their province or territory.

Disputes may be brought before a court with jurisdiction under applicable law. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

Earned and purchased points have equal value. Points never expire, and EconoPlus charges no fee to redeem them.

Points may be exchanged for available Shop rewards at the points price shown before confirmation. Points have no cash value and are not withdrawable as cash.

The full remaining value of a reward obtained with points does not expire and is not forfeited after partial use. These rules take precedence over the promotional expiry and forfeiture provisions in section 5 for rewards obtained with points.

Participating locations, eligible goods and services, booking requirements and other merchant conditions shown before the exchange still apply. This points policy does not change free coupon validity or the conditions of vouchers purchased directly for money or given as gifts.
